Farfalle

Farfalle is a kind of pasta often known as bow-tie pasta because of its distinctive shape, but is actually named after the Italian word for butterfly.

Its relatively bulky texture and large surface area makes farfalle better suited to robust sauces, or even as an ingredient in soups.
