A variant of thyme with a distinct lemon flavour
Lemon Thyme is a type of thyme that has a lemon or citrus flavour on top of the typical thyme flavour.
Its citrus notes make it a good partner for fish dishes, and trout stuffed with lemon thyme is a favourite.
If lemon thyme is unavailable, ordinary thyme makes a perfectly good substitute, although adding a little lemon zest or juice might be worth considering.
